FABIO BERTOZZI

Clarinet

Fabio Bertozzi completed his music studies at Liceo Musicale “G.Lettimi” in Rimini, with professor Paolo Fantini, and he graduated in Conservatorio “B.Maderna” in Cesena 1990. He studied with Fabrizio Meloni, Jacques Lancelot, Roman Guoyt and Michel Arrignon.

In 2007, he got Diploma Accademico, II level in Discipline Musicali, interpretative- composer, at Istituto Superiore di Studi Musicali “G.Lettimi” in Rimini, with the highest mark cum laude.

In 2010, he got Diploma Accademico, II level, Abilitante in Didattica della Musica, at Istituto Superiore di Studi Musicali “Achille Pieri in Reggio Emilia.

In 1995, he completed three years course for Orchestra direction (wwodwind) organized by Regione Emilia-Romagna, then he studied with Hans Obkircher and Daniele Carnevali.

In 1985, Bertozzi won the first place in Concorso Nazionale di Clarinetto, in Lugo di Romagna. In 2003, he won “Primo Premio Assoluto” of the 4° Edition “ Concorso Nazionale di Esecuzione Musicale in Riccione, as components of woodwind Quintett “Astarte”.

Prof. Bertozzi get the abilitation at “Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala di Milano”, “OrchestraGiovanile Italiana”, “ Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana” and “Teatro Regio” in Torino and “RAI Orchestra”.

He was first and second clarinet, cornet and bass clarinet and collaborated with many other orchestras. Some of them are “Teatro la Fenice” Orchestra in Venice, “Teatro Carlo Felice” in Genoa, “Teatro Regio “ in Torino, Philarmonic Orchestra “Arturo Toscanini” in Parma, Philarmonic Orchestra in Torino, “Musicarivafestival” Orchestra in Riva del Garda, “Accademia Bizantina” Orchestra in Ravenna, “ProMusica” Orchestra in Pistoia, “Orchestra Maderna” in Forlì, Shymphonic Orchestra “G.Rossini” in Pesaro, “London Shyphony Chorus” under the prestigious direction of: I. Karabtchevsky, P. Maag, R. Gandolfi, R. Palumbo, V. Jurowski, Lu Jia, O. Dantone, Y. Levi, C. Desderi, J. Kovatchev, D. Coleman, L. Foster, P. Fournillier, Kazushi Ono, T. Sokhiev, K. H. Steffens, D. Fasolis, F. M. Bressan, R. Bruson, A. Ciccolini, E. Dindo, Danilo Rossi, D. Nordio, M. Marasco, S. Bunin, B. Petrushansky, W. Marshall, I. Oistrakh, I. Grubert, M. Rizzi, M. Quarta, E. Bronzi, S. Isserlis, G. Ettorre, S. Krylov, J. Cura, Leo Nucci, V. Urmana, S. Ganassi, Gilberto Gil, M. Devia.

Bertozzi has an intense music activity with different chamber formations in Italy and abroad. In 2004, he grounded “Ensemble Fellini” in Rimini, with he performed in Italian Embassy in Oslo, Stockholm and London.

From 1998, the directs the “Complesso Stumentale-Bandistico”, “Amici della Musica” in San Mauro Pascoli. Professor Bertozzi created also new projects for theatre and literature, leading the group during collaboration with David Rondino, Paolo Bessegato, Leila Serra, Valerio Massimo Manfredi, Lunetta Savino. From 2008, he directs Complesso Bandistico “Città di Cervia”. Moreover, he adapts scripts for concerts. At present, he teaches clarinet at Liceo Musicale Statale “C.Sigonio” in Modena.
