PIERLUIGI DI TELLA

Concert performer, Piano teacher and Art Director of Music Institute “A. Masini” in Forlì he has been carrying on a careful and accurate musical research based on the valorisation of unusual and original repertoires; he favours the sharing of music contents of the repertoires that he faces with his hearers interacting with them in an immediate and direct way.

His concert career has led him to perform in Italy, Denmark, Norway, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Albania and as a soloist in various orchestras including the Philharmonic National Orchestra of the Republic of Vltava, the Chamber Orchestra of the Academy of Tirana, the Ukrainian Symphony Orchestra of Kiev, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bacau, the ProArte Orchestra Marche, the Orchestra of the Teatro Regio in Parma, the State Orchestra of Vidin etc. .

As a chamber musician he collaborated with the prestigious “Quartetto di Cremona”, The Instrumentalists of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan”, “Nuovo Quartetto Malatestiano”, “La Camerata del Titano”, Paolo Carlini (first bassoon of the Toscana Orchestra), Alessandro Serra and Giuseppe Ettorre (first contrabasses of the Teatro alla Scala’s Orchestra).

He was pianist in master classes held by Julius Baker, Diego Dini Ciacci, Paolo Carlini; he has been Maestro collaborator in summer advanced courses held in Bertinoro by Alessandro Serra and Giuseppe Ettorre and, from 2016, even in the Accademia Chigiana in Siena.

He has won numerous national and international competitions holds piano master classes and has often been jury member in piano competitions.

He has made several recordings and, for the historic publishing house Carrara, in Bergamo, he coordinates the teaching series in 12 volumes plus CD titled the “Library of the young pianist”.

Graduated with honours from the Conservatory “ GB Martini” in Bologna he attended further training courses in Italy and abroad with internationally renowned musicians but crucial to his training was the study with maestros Massimo Neri, Sergio Fiorentino and with Gilbert Cook at the “Ecole Supérieure de Piano” in Switzerland for the high refinement of the piano technique.

He teaches at the Music Conservatory “ F. Morlacchi” in Perugia and at the Music Institute “A. Masini” in Forlì.
